Biography —
Zoe Chan is pursuing an M.A. in French and Francophone Studies. She currently holds a B.A in Biochemistry and a B.A in French and Francophone Studies from the University of Kansas. During her undergraduate degree, she completed an honors thesis under the guidance of Prof Christine Bourgeois, titled L’hybridité et ses rôles dans le Roman de Mélusine de Jean d’Arras et Bisclavret de Marie de France. Zoe is from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, but has always loved traveling and learning about different cultures. Her love for cultures led her to studying abroad in Lorraine, France, in 2016. Zoe is interested in exploring and researching French medieval literature and culture and how its themes continue to shape contemporary culture. She looks forward to pursuing a career in intercultural education and teaching, working with students from all walks of life.
