Patrick Herring

Patrick Herring is a third year Ph.D. student in French and Francophone Studies. He studied French and German at Cambridge University, England, and spent the majority of his career as a teacher of both languages in UK high schools. Patrick is a dual French/British national who loves to teach aspiring linguists and to communicate his enthusiasm for all things French. His thesis research focuses on the work of the contemporary novelist Patrick Modiano. In his spare time, he likes to hike, travel and cook with his wife Sarah, who is a Professor in the Classics Department at KU.
