Ousmane Lecoq Diop is a second-year Ph.D. student in French and Francophone Studies. He is a native of Senegal in West Africa.

Ousmane has taught French in High School for 13 years and has obtained a master’s degree in French from the University of North Texas in Denton in December 2017. His area of interests consists of exploring the status and future of French in Africa particularly in West Africa and its correlations with Identity, Immigration and Economic Issues.

Ousmane enjoys spending time with his French wife Patricia a 4th year French high school’s teacher and their 2 years and half boy Ibrahima Miguel Daouda.  He also enjoys officiating and playing soccer games as well as playing tennis.
