Coming from Besançon, France, Lucie was an exchange student at KU two years ago. She is now finishing her MASTER degree in the French Francophone and Italian Department, and will pass her exams this fall. After earning a degree in philosophy, she studied English and Cultural Studies in France; she completed her Bachelor’s degree with distinctions in France before spending a year as an exchange student in Austin, Texas, where she studied history, linguistics and languages. She is interested in Francophone studies, more specifically in the writings of Assia Djebar and Ananda Devi. She enjoys spending time cooking, camping, traveling, writing, reading, drawing, and going to the cinema and museums during her free time.
