Emily is a second-year PhD student and recipient of the Hall Center for the Humanities Doctoral Fellowship. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in French and English from Truman State University (2012) and Master’s Degree in French from Saint Louis University (2017). Her research interests are in French Medieval and Early Modern Literature and Culture, particularly the evolution of the Grotesque in art, literature, and theory.
