Ellen Collier

Ellen Collier is a fifth-year PhD. student and Graduate Teaching Assistant. She earned her B.A. at KU (2012) and M.A. at Middlebury College (2014). Her interests are in Medieval, Early Modern, and Modern French Literature; Linguistics; and Art.
After receiving a grant from the Office of Graduate Studies as well as a scholarship from the Office of Study Abroad, Ellen spent June 2019 researching for her dissertation at the Bibliothèque Nationale de Paris. Ellen is researching late 14th/early 15th century French poetry, examining the illustration and expression of emotion within a selected body of works by Eustache Deschamps.
