Ellen Collier is a second-year PhD student and Graduate Teaching Assistant. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree at the University of Kansas (2012) and Master’s Degree at Middlebury College (2014). Her interests are in French Literature from the Middle Ages, Renaissance, and Post-Enlightenment; Latin Poetry; Etymology; Semantics; Semiotics; and Art. 


During the summer of 2017, Ellen had the opportunity to attend Middlebury College's Bread Loaf Translator's Conference - having recently translated an article to appear in the Yale French Review - as well as to complete a Hall Summer Fellowship working with the Kansas Humanities Council in Topeka.
