Clarisse is a PhD candidate in the French department. In 2013 she earned her Master’s degree in English and Cultural studies from the University of Franche-Comté. Outside French literature, Clarisse is passionate about linguistics, educational technologies and second language teaching. She received the David A. Dinneen Award for Pedagogical Excellence in May 2016. She wants to blend her interests in literature and education through her dissertation research that will reflect on maieutics in 20th-21st century literary works as well as in real-life classroom context.
