Beth Wood is a non-traditional student returning to university life after having a family and a career in the private sector. She joined the department in 2009 and successfully completed her M.A. at KU in 2011. She is a recipient of the David A. Dinneen Award for Pedagogical Excellence in French, as well as the editor of the Chimères journal. She is currently ABD and is researching 17th-century fashion and the bending of gender norms.
