Andisheh Ghaderi (Andi) is a PhD student in French at the University of Kansas, where she serves as an instructor of French as well. She holds a master’s degrees in French literature from Michigan State University.

Her research focuses on Francophone women, subjectivity and identity formation. Her other research interests include: cinema, image studies and comics; topics on which she has extensively published.

Andi has 11 years of experience teaching French and English at college level and university. She is currently a KU TRIO instructor too. She has done 4 years of volunteering as a foreign language teacher for deprived children and women. She speaks several languages English, French, German and Persian. She has a reading and working knowledge of Latin, Japanese and Arabic as well.

In her free time, she reads on various subjects, does some artwork, and studies on pet’s psychology.
